I stayed 10 days in the shared apartments, with surf classes and food package. I had an absolutely amazing experience: A lot of fun with the other visitors, friendly caring staff, beautiful surf spots, great food, and surf progress because they take it very seriously with dedicated coaching during the classes and frequent video analysis. We even had a surfskate lesson. Thanks to everyone in the camp and special thanks to Janis and Luca for helping me improve my skills!

I stayed one week at Camino Surfcamp Galicia in Valdoviño. Package I chose included 5 surf lessons (beginner/intermediate level), glamping accommodation (shared tent), vegetarian culinario-menù (all meals for a week). Overall, the experience was great. Simple and functional surfcamp (chill spots, guitars, table tennis, table football, hammooks, beer and juices at disposal for a reasonable price, market/pizzeria within the camp), competent surf instructors, nice and friendly camp crew, polite-friendly-interesting guests. Surf equipment (board, wetsuite, surf skate) was good quality. Visited surf spots were 2: Valdoviño beach (both est and west sides) and Villarube beach. Besides the surfcamp atmosphere, I appreciated the surf lessons (which included theory part and the review of short footages of us surfing) and the culinario-menù (cheap and healthy). Valdoviño is a small village (with everything reachable 15 min walk) and does not offer much activities or nightlife - there are a couple of cocktail bar where you can also dance. Connections to close cities (Ferrol, mainly) is effectively possible by bus (Monbus) but if you plan to visit other places around I would strongly recommend to rent a car (in Ferrol or A Coruña). Most likely I will also try Camino Surfcamp in Sidi Ifni (Morocco). Greetings to the camp crew and Peter/Helke!

Thank you to Peter and the whole Camino team!We really enjoyed our stay at the camino camp. Our kids 16/14 years old easily connected to other teenagers their age facilitated by the family friendly set up. The food was freshly made and delicious, I loved the fact that you received boxes at breakfast to prepare your own lunch for later.The surfing and Oisin, our main instructor was clear and systematic when teaching. Great to get some theory in and also to learn about surf etiquet. Thanks to Anas and also Filipe to help us practically!Another gem is Elke and her Yoga class, which my daughter of 16 years enjoyed as much as me.Hopefully we will make it back again !

As a family of 4 with 2 children aged 14 & 16 we did a 5 day beginner course. The camp is super well organised and clean, the food package was great value and delicious. Our instructors Oisin and Anas were fantastic, explained everything really well and made the whole course fun. The instruction is thorough with practical and theory elements as well as safety aspects which were very useful. The camp is very welcoming and we met some great people. Camino Surf in Galicia is an excellent choice for everyone - whether you're traveling solo, with a group, or with family. The entire team is highly professional, friendly, always helpful, and clearly enjoys their work. The surf camp has a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Valdoviño is relaxed, and the surf spots, beaches, and sunsets are incredible.The surf instructors are experienced, motivating, and tailor their teaching to the individual skills of each participant. You spend a lot of time in the water, which is great as it gives you plenty of opportunities to improve your skills.The teamers were also great, always dedicated and supportive throughout the stay.Finally, thumbs up for my instructor Filippo - thanks for two great weeks. I spent a perfect week at the Camino surfing (I was in Filippo‘s groups where I lernt a lot, both while surfing in the water but also in theory lessons in the afternoon!), eating (Joaquin is a master chef), sleeping (I stayed in a glamping tent - which was perfect for me travelling alone). If you go there, you‘ll encounter a group of super friendly, well trained surf teachers and teamers! I hope I can visit the camp again

I‘ve been there for two weeks and I had such a good time. This camp is perfect if you want to enjoy the waves and progress your surfing.The surf teachers are making sure that you can go surfing at the perfect day time and in the perfect spot. I recently had an incredible experience at the Camino Surfcamp. The super friendly behaviour of the staff created a warm atmosphere at the camp and the natural surroundings, including the extraordinary beach, enhanced the overall wonderful charm. I really enjoyed the surfing lessons and they consisted not only of practical exercises but also very interesting theory. So my time at Camino Surfcamp left me with new passion for surfing! Wonderful time! Well organised, super fast and flexibel service. You can feel they’re well established since years. I felt welcome and home the first day I got there. The Staff is just so friendly. I can recommend it for every age group as there is a total mixture and everyone gets along well with each other. The Camp is located in the Camping Valdoviño, 5min walk to the beach and 10min to the tiny center of Valdoviño. I booked shared apartement and it was super easy. The food is delicious and always comes with a lot of varieties and you can eat as much as you want. Surfteachers come with expertise so I could really improve my surfing from intermediate to getting my first turns. Most important they help you not to fight in the water but to have fun surfing.Thanks Caminos

We visited the Camino Surfcamp in Galicia with lots of good memories from the Camino Surfcamp in Morocco and once again had an amazing time! The crew did an outstanding job to make the stay as convenient as possible even under Covid-19 social distancing restrictions.The location of the camp is great. The Camino Camp common area is very nicely arranged, the accommodation is top and the sanitary facilities of the camp site are in a very good shape as well.Three Beach breaks are just walking distance down the hill. Further beach breaks provide for a variety of options given direction of swell and wind. The Valdoviño valley is really nice, not overly crowded and with beautiful green and rocky hills in the back providing for a nice panoramic view from the line-up.We had a beautiful time, managed to significantly progress our surfing level and already look forward to joining the Camino crew in the line-up again soon!

Fantastic site to learn how to surf and get better. The beach is beautiful and clean, the staff and families there were all very nice. Siesta is the greatest idea ever, the folks cooking were out of this world cooks, plenty of things to do if you weren't at the beach, and I plan on going back if not to Valdoviño then to southern Spain or Morocco.

I visited Camino in August and would highly recommend this camp, as a solo female traveller I felt extremely comfortable. The staff and instructors are all really friendly, the atmosphere is chilled, fun, positive & inclusive and I will be going back at some point for sure!

I've been to the camino surfcamp twice, the first time in morocco and the second time in galicia. The two stays were very different (obviously) but what they had in common was the outstanding quality and the positive, welcoming atmosphere. This is definitely a good choice for a surfcamp, whether you're a beginner or advanced. Oh, and go for the culinario package, you won't regret it!

We came just for two days but the place, atmosphere and the beach were so great that we canceled our next accomodation and stayed two more nights! We didn't camp but stayed in the new Casa Mamut, which is a good option for those who look for some more comfort. The staff was very helpful and nothing was ever a problem, there was always someone around. There are many other beaches in the area and great options even to hike (nature is beautiful in Galicia!) or have a superb dinner. Very recommended and we hope to back again!

If surf is the main attraction on your trip, this is your place! I've stayed w/ Camino 3 times (once in Valdoviño and twice in Morocco) which in itself says quite a lot I think. 😀 The camp is run by Austrian Peter, with his laidback but orderly fashion. All the other crew are nice and professional too. The surfspots nearby are uncrowded and consistent (this is the best part!), and they make good grub at the camp. Outside eat, sleep and surf - there's little to do though.

Really nice Surfcamp with great Staff, the rooms are in top condition as the rental equipment, i recoment to take the food package cause they have a local cook who does gorgeous meals wich are always enough also to really hungry surfistas. The surf course is given by professional surf instructors wich truly having fun in their job. Also the local knowledge about waves and conditions isn't a secret to not surf course takers.Personally i want to say that I had a great time and always fun with that guys. They have a great vibe in the camp and I felt like @home with family or close friends.I used to be in different surf camps before, and in my opinion thats how surfing should be presented to people wich are new in this sport, and also for customers wich are already in it.Hang loose 🙂

SURFCAMP MAROKKO

We spent a wonderful time in Sidi Ifni, we especially chose the hostel because of the location in the rather calm area!The shared apartments are nice and cozy and there’s still enough space on the wonderful rooftop/the beach/the village common room to spent time alone if needed. Everyone out of the crew and the “helping hands” are welcoming and became such good friends!We recommend to rent a car if you wanna be more autonomous for the different surf spots or for going on a road trip, it’s worth it. Courses with video analysis and theory helped us both (beginner and intermediate) to improve our skills:)

The surf camp was the time of our lives! The team was amazing. The surf lessons are highly recommended, you truly make significant progress. Epic! Mouloud is the best Manager and organizes everything perfectly. (Transfer, Roms, Surf lessons, fun, Movie Night, table Tennis - just everything ). I was there in October, and had the surftrip of my life, super nice Surfcamp.The surf was awesome when I was there, also the advanced surfcourse (with Mouloud) the videoanalyses helped me a lot.The Team was super nice (but just dudes ^^ ). Really everyone especially Surf Instructor Luca was creating a nice Vibe and shared his freetime with me. I also had great sessions with always smiling Baba. Everyone of the Team was very open and always had time for our concerns or whatever.The food was delicious and the cook was serving the meals with a great look. The only thing that was not perfect was the vegan option, since the food was vegetarian but never vegan. Also no Oatmilk for brekfast that could be improved ;)Thanks for that great time Team 🙂

Had an excellent two weeks here doing the advanced surf course. The surf instructors Mouloud, Baba and Janis are great and very committed to helping you progress, giving clear tips on what to work on, as well as really helpful video analysis and theory sessions. The vibe is really nice and chilled here, and ALL of the staff are super friendly and fun to hangout with, they create a lovely and relaxed atmosphere which really makes the experience so great. Food is really good, you’ll definitely never go hungry. I’ll miss you all, see you next time!

We booked the beginner course, stayed in a shared apartment with private room and also booked the food package. We had an amazing time! The room was tidy and the apartment was well equiped. Nice common room and cool roof top tarasse to chill out after a day of surfing.The staff was super cool and helpful with everything, the teachers were well educated and made us learn to surf very fast. There was always plenty of food with big varieties and really good quality. We cannot wait to come back again!!

Great camp, vibe is nice, all teachers, house keepers and helping hands are very friendly, always helpful, they all do their best to make your stay as pleasent as possible. Very well organized. All do speak English very well so no language barrier while teaching.Amazing and more then plenty of food every day.Surf lessons are very professional, very individual, video analysis is great and 2 times per week perfect for progression.Surf spots are also awesome with great waves and there is a spot for every tide and swell size.The schedule for the surf lessons is always depending on when the best conditions are for your skill level which is very important in my opinion. They discuss the schedule every evening for the next day. If you want to really progress your surfing this camp has it all it takes!

The only thing to say is, a great experience! The people are superfriendly and it really feels like being part of the family. Good surf instructors, learned much during my stay, and the spots are great, as they are mostly less crowded than any I have seen so far.

I was at Camino Surfcamp for 10 days last January and I can only say that it was the best Surfcamp I have ever been. Malvi our surf teacher was great! The people at the camp welcoming and friendly and the food was delicious. The rooftop is super cozy and amazing sunset view. If you are looking for a professional but laid-back camp with the Maroccan spirit and great surfing, that's the place to go to! I will for sure go back to Camino:) thank you for the wonderful stay!

What a place! I wantet to stay for one week only but ended up staying two weeks, just because it was so much fun. The food is excellent. The people are amazing (staff, volunteers and guests). The coaching is incredible. I learned a lot and my surfing skills have improved faster than ever. The mix of theory, practice and video analysis really helps a lot. The spots in Sidi ifni offer something for everyone. For a beginer/intermediate surfer like me, it also helped a lot, that the spots were not that crowded. I can highly recommend this camp.

I simply had a terrific time at Camino in Sidi Ifni. Sidi Ifni is a no-fuzz, laid back town. At Camino's I got great surf lessons, learned to surf green waves, and met a lot of fun and interesting people. My only regret is that I should have stayed longer.

My friend and me spent a great week in Sidi Ifni with Caminosurf. We enjoyed the uncrowded waves, the funny crew, and the relaxing atmosphere a lot. We also appreciated some authentic Moroccan experiences (Hamam, markets, concert, restaurant) as well as to discover the surrounding by bike. Next to the nice surfing, there is curtainly much more to discover in Sidi Ifni and around. We definitely think about coming back.

Really nice surf camp. Good teachers, well maintained and varying equipment, awesome food, just an overall cosy and warm feeling. Simple, but clean and nicely decorated rooms.Definitely the right place for an "eat, sleep, surf" experience. During my stay there were hardly any tourists in the area nor in the line up.Exclusively German speaking guests whilst I was there.

We had a great time at Camino Surfcamp in Sidi Ifni. The surf crew was very friendly, the food a real treat (more like a 4/5 star restaurant) and we also had a great time surfing. As it's definitely not so crowded you can actually have a spot more or less on your own or with just your friends / surf camp. Roof top is perfect for chilling.

CaminoSurf means Family!Spent 2 awesome weeks at the CaminoSurf Camp in Sidi Ifni, Morocco.Had the best intermediate surf teaching with Rob and Max so far. Also Mouloud and Pipi gave me a lot of tips to progress.Very professional theory and practical teaching. I also felt super save in the water. I improved my surfing a lot. Felt like home in the cosy and clean shared apartment. KisKis, Peter and the whole Team cook very delicious fresh local food. The whole Team made my holidays perfect!Thank you for everything, I will totally come back!

Very warm welcome and familial atmosphere, good infrastructure an surfing material, very nice food and top surf-teachers. Big Up to the whole Camino-Team and all the good people I met there. Very nice spot and local culture as well. Definitely to be recomended!!!!

The team is by far the best I have ever had. No other Surfcamp is as competent and friendly as those guys. Not to forget the great food and so many uncrowded spots for all levels. For sure I'll get back there and would recommend it to anyone. There are also other available locations for summer in spain by the same crew! Camino rocks!

Top location: Variety of Surf Spots (with impressive consistency during my stay in November '15)Nice housing: Spacious apartments/shared rooms with kitchen and cozy common room with PC, projector (for surf contests and movies :)) and roof top terrace.Lovely people: Fun international team members and nice atmosphere in the camp!

SURFCAMP ANDALUSIEN

I stayed for 10 days and I was so happy with everything! Great location & people, very relaxed atmosphere and amazing food. The surf classes were just perfect and really professional, I learned so much more than in other places thanks to Edu 🙂 It was a great combination with beeing in the water and theory (with video & Surfskate), which helped me a lot. They had many different and really good surfboards and beginner and intermediates went to different classes at the best time for their level. I would definetely recommend caminosurf 🙂

As well as great surf conditions and weather, the best surf trips are all about the people you get to meet. At Camino surf camp Andalucia, there is simply the best team looking after you. They were so caring, thoughtful, and engaging and they made our trip so special. You get two top surf coaches thrown into the mix who have the perfect balance of surf knowledge, encouragement and know all the bets places so given the conditions you have confidence you are in the right place in the right hands - also really appreciated these guys hanging around to socialise so that we all felt like one big team. Amazing!

Gluten free? Have no fear, this place is just exceptional. I have coeliac disease and I have never been catered for and looked after in the way I was here. I was able to eat perfect surf camp food without a second thought which was just unbelievable for me and made the whole experience so much more relaxing and enjoyable. Thanks to everyone (and Kathrin in particular).

The Camino surfcamp in Canos de Meca is a wonderful camp in which you will immediately feel at home. The professional surfclasses, delicious food, the nice accommodations and the very friendly staff make this Camp a great experience! One of the best holidays I've ever had 🙂

This camp is an absolute win for everyone attending it!The trainers and management really want to teach you how to surf and not just deliver a cheap "surf experience". An extremely well thought through training plan, great food and accomodation as well as flexibility and helpfulness are just a few of the traits of this surf camp!If I could give it more stars, I gladly would!

One of the best surfcamps I've ever been to, and there have been plenty. Simple but very comfortable and nicely located accomodation, great atmosphere and good food.But the best of all were the surf lessons: I always felt safe, the instructors really care for where you are and what you are doing (not like in Bali). Whitin one week I made some great efforts, although I have no talent at all. I'll definitely come back!

There are a lot of things to say about surfing but you can read these online and watch videos on youtube. What you cannot see is the community this camp has. I felt so warmly welcome from the first day on. I am a total newbie to surfing but I did not feel as one. The team always was around for questions and answers, for tips and tricks, etc... My instructor was such a nice guy so we needed to hug when I was standing the first wave. Also all other people working in the camp, preparing special wishes for breakfast or dinner, cleaning, doing transfer to airport, taking photos or videos or just giving a helping hand were super nice. The surfing lessions were well organized but also not that strict. It always was a lot of fun either theory or practical lession. I want to thank all the people for this great week that I will never forget!!!

Ein spizenklasse und super nettes Team, das auf alle Wuensche und Beduerfnisse eingeht. Unglaublich relaxte und familiaere Atmosphaere in den Camps. Immer wieder coole und nette Leute kennengelernt. Man fuehlt sich einfach Wohl bei euch. Und der Surf kommt natuerlich auch nicht zu kurz... Habe mir letzte Woche ein paar richtig schoene Wellen abholen koennen 🙂 Vielen Dank fuer die geile Zeit, immer wieder. Nach Sidi Ifni und Zahora steht als naechstes ein Besuch in Valdoviño an 😉 Freu mich jetzt schon riesig!

Super Urlaub bei (fast immer) bestem Wetter, tollen Wellen, mit netten Menschen und coolen Surflehrern verbracht! Das Camp ist toll, das Team ist nett und das Essen schmeckt ganz wunderbar! Meine Begeisterung fürs Surfen wurde definitiv geweckt, auch die Theorie Stunden (Surf History!) waren sehr interessant. Ich tüftel schon mit meinem Kalender aus, wann euch wieder besuchen kann 🙂

This was my second stay at a camino surf camp and my expectations were absolutely fulfilled! It was great to see known faces and meet new people.
